This blog was created for all Toastmasters to enable them to perform their roles better. It’s particularly aimed at new Toastmasters, although experienced Toastmasters will benefit as well.
While there will be a focus on meeting roles, officer roles and contest roles will also be included.
What this blog will include:
- Explanation of roles
- Resources to enable Toastmasters to perform their roles better for both online and in-person meetings
- Using technology to enhance the Toastmasters experience
What this blog will not include:
- General speaking tips. This site is specific to Toastmasters, and will have links to the Toastmasters International site. You may not be able to view some of those if you’re not a member of Toastmasters. Also, most of this site will not be particularly interesting to you if you’re not in Toastmasters.
- Emphasis on speaking. Roles other than Speaker will be the stars here 😉
Hi, I’m Laura Kozma and welcome! I have been a member of Old Bridge Toastmasters for the past three years. During that time, I’ve taken on all the meeting roles that my club has to offer. Also, I have served as Sergeant at Arms and Vice President of Education for my club. A lot of this blog will contain my personal experiences; however, I am planning on doing research and even some interviews for those roles I’ve never held. This blog was created for my Level 4 elective.
I live in NJ with my husband and two adult children, along with two guinea pigs and four cats.
Question: What topics would you like to see in this blog?
